Run 1440, The Works, Sowerby Bridge, 11th January 2010
Hare: HRT
At Kick-Off on a snowy and icy night the pack consisted of the princely number of 3, Footloose (insisting he had absolutely nothing to do with the trail), Lick it Up and a New Boots (Andy?) friend of the Hare. Easy Access and Little World made late Take-offs, but there were clearly a snowflake or two too many for the remainder of the Hardy??? Yorkshire Hashers to weather a drive (or train ride) to Sowerby Bridge. The trail headed pretty sharply up hill (what a surprise in these parts) through the streets of the town then back down through more streets to the main road and thence to an excellent beer stop at The Old Railway Station where some crack with the locals was enjoyed. Back at the Works superb home-made soup and rolls was followed by the circle with Easy Access awarding down downs to HRT, Little World, The New Boots and Lick It Up and receiving one herself from Little World before we headed off to the challenge of our icy journeys home.
