Run 1356
Cross Keys,Old Snydale.
Hare – Love Muscle
On-in Barebcue – Chez Creamy/Love Muscle Crib.
Weather – typically Yorkshire in summertime – think Boy Band Wet Wet Wet.
A plethora of hashers turned up-even Ginger Root who is normally glued to the Wimbledon Final this time of year. She’d obviously heard the weather forecast for SW19 and reckoned she’d climax – sorry see the climax after the Barbie. Good guess girl,and what a match it was. Allegedley,Joan Collins was the last to leave at 10.30 am next morning –hot goss or what.
Anyway back to the run –great trail by Love Muscle-longish with plenty of off road and good beer stop hosted by Ali the barman. Looks like a future run venue – Ali is a good host.
Plenty of banter on the trails as usual especially Cheesie telling HRT his spuds has just come out – wasn’t a chat up line,just allotment chit chat-oh yeh baby.
Back at the Cross Keys,the landlord was ace and liked it so much he said he would come again on a hash-a lot to catch up with Wheels who has come again nearly 1000 times. Great pub,but the ale was off big style,almost had a lager,good job I was driving.
Big circle outside which was obviously enjoyed by several locals and local who were just pitching up.
Back to Barbieville of loads of nosh just in time for deluge – Russ coped well and has a gazebo which occasionally doubled as an outdoor shower when the roof was pushed up,and several upsuspecting hashers got drowned.
Good beer,great nosh and we got a lift back into town. Good trail and a good day out.
