Sunday 8th July 2007 – The Hunters, Thurlstone
The Foxglove Trail
The trail followed a superb Housewarming / Bad Taste Party at Who’s Whose’s where any Hashers who were uncertain about the dress code were advised to wear their Sunday Best! Many Quorn Hashers came also to the party.
The run was from “The Hunters” at Thurlstone. Proceedings were started by Rambo trying to make a collection in order that a bid could be made by YH3 to takeover Leeds Untied Football Club. Why? when there are better teams around I ask myself!
The trail followed many miles of beautiful scenery. The weather was good and the foxgloves were in abundance. At one point hashers were surprised to find that our G.M. “Mezza” has a hidden life. The photos of the official opening of the panoramic viewing point over the local moors showed Mezza, complete with chain of office and posh hat, posing with local dignitaries. Is there no end to her talents!
Back at the pub posh chips and curry were served and the “Down Downs” were led by our one and only Shaggy Plug.
The Down Downs were numerous - too numerous to list. Good fun was had by all.
