Monday night and the weather was dry and warm, the car park in Wetherby was a colourful display of hashers and polecats, the latter wearing their latest designed tops fresh from their hols in Barcelona. As the pack grouped together, Matilda in his wisdom decided to chose a scribe for the nights run with a tennis ball, that over the trail began. Seven minutes into the trail and Lick It Up performed her usual trick as she nose dived while under a flyover and began frantically looking for her glasses. We ran through an area by the river which housed some exclusive appartments, then through brambles which revealed some rugby playing fields. This prompted the hash to show their competetive streak; ferrets raced ferrets followed by polecats racing polecats, there were no winners as cheating was evident in both camps. After running up some stoney steps we arrived at a main road, Annie quickly showed her training by flagging down a BMW to allow her pupils (sorry, hashers) to safely cross the road. The trail progressed down disused railway paths, nettle ridden paths and followed various routes through the housing of Wetherby. The hare was caught frequently smiling with delight as she outwitted the FRB's until we eventually arrived at the beer stop which became apparant was also the ON INN. As six remained drinking in the pub the rest ran the remainder of the trail back to the car-park and then back to the pub. Flossie
