Missing hare Joan Collins
The last time we were here was run number 357 on the 13 January 1991 ( unfortunately no write up). In those halcyon days there was a pub here called the Travellers Rest which closed at 2.30pm on a Sunday so it was incumbent on the hare to get the pack back within the hour.
Your hare , being a lazy sod , decided to lay the trail the day before and set off on the M1 on a Saturday afternoon to find that some poor soul had thrown himself off a motorway bridge and the road was closed. Not being strong in the map department it was decided to abandon the journey.
Come Sunday morning a sizeable pack set off through wonderful countryside on the long journey to Deffer woods a local pine forrest.
Late arrivals on the trail were pints,hash angel,alexia and yogi the bear.
Little world,easy access spunky monkey and rock chick were given a cunning short cut at the woods which brought them to the front of the pack.
Inside the woods the hare had marked a photo stop which consisted of a bench.Although I did not witness it I am told that there was severe polt cat abuse by some of the ferrets baring there arse holes. Disgusting!
Most of the regulars were there including gobbler,bomber, flossie,evers,henry and ginger.
Sleeping bag was there after his little spell in the hospital for overdoing the beers at AGPU.
Owl ,HRT,wet patch,jake and big foot were also running around in ever decreasing circles.
From the woods the hare took us to a working mine where he had laid a limbo stop under a gate and shaggy showed the pack how to do it. Black bush was very impressed.
Our new hasher from Amsterdam soggy drawers was enjoying the trail and rivet could be heard braying in the distance with creamy in hot pursuit.
Back at the pub wet patch was in a panic as Rambo had got lost on the trail but was rescued by the hare.
The down downs I can remember went to;
Annie 500runs
Stick gave the hash shit to widow for organizing a party with the mad woman.
Pints of water were given to lick it up.henry,ginger,flossie and evers who visited the ravenscar hotel but didn’t have a drink.
Love muscle also got a glass of water following his recent brathalyser success.
Rivet and the wingman got a down down but I can’t remember why.
Good circle matilda – well done.
All the raffle prizes were won by big foot – bless her.
I think I’ve mentioned every body – oh sorry – long hose and head butt were also in attendance.
Finally our lovely land lady Kerrie was given a down down for making a vat of the most wonderful stew for us- just what the doctor ordered on a cold winters day.
